Cenote X Batun
It is an open-type cenote, which is reached through a natural slope of approximately 20 meters. It is suitable for swimming and cave diving. For this activity it has a large underwater cavern. The surrounding vegetation offers shelter to several species of birds such as thó, yuya, xtacay and turtledoves among others. This cenote has a special scenic view due to the tree roots that hang over the entrance of the cave.
It has two resting palapas, parking, camping area, fire pit area, interpretive trail that surrounds the Cenote area and community guide services.
It is located 49 km. from the city of Mérida, on the Muna-Uxmal highway, detour at km. 39 right bank, towards the Cacao farm. Upon reaching the San Antonio Mulix farm, take a 2.3 km dirt road. to get to the site.
