Cenote Ucil
It is a semi-closed type cenote within a cave, which is accessed through a side entrance located on its north side, where it descends down a slight slope to the water mirror.
The color of the water is blue and the water mirror measures 20 meters long by 6 meters wide and a maximum depth of 112 meters. It is one of the deepest cenotes in the state, an important characteristic of many of the cenotes in the eastern zone.
The use of life jackets is recommended, avoid the use of sunscreen and be very careful when descending the ladder.
This cenote is located at a distance of 120 kilometers from the city of Mérida, passing through the city of Izamal until reaching the town of Cenotillo. Arriving at the town, travel along a paved road 2 kilometers to the north towards the junction of the Buctzotz-Tizimín highway and then to the left side one more kilometer of white road in good condition.
